Water dragons live in the waters under Ming's palace on Mongo. Apparently bloodthirsty, they attack Flash Gordon and Princess Aura as they fall through a trap door into "the Hole of Horrors". ("On the Planet Mongo")
Princess Aura is able to subdue them with the sheer force of her royal personality.
