Rabbits are small mammals in the family Leporidae of the order Lagomorpha, found in several parts of the world. There are seven different genera in the family classified as rabbits. Rabbits generally live between four and twenty years. A rabbit's gestation period is 28 to 31 days.
In "Episode 103: Infestation", Flash Gordon and Baylin's first clue that something has come through the rift is seeing a rabbit sitting calmly nearby, not spooked at all by their presence. It turns out that the rabbit has been bitten by a joybug, and is experiencing blissful happiness as the joybug's poison works through its system.
Flash and Baylin bring the rabbit to Zarkov, who runs tests to determine how to slow the course of the infection through the rabbit's system.
