Mattel produced a line of action figures between 1979 and 1980, to tie in with the 1979 Flash Gordon cartoon series.
The line of eight figures was released in three series.
Ships[]
Rocket Ship was produced by Mattel in 1979 as part of their line of action figures. The toy was a tie-in with the "Flash Gordon (1979 cartoon) series.
Sparkling Rocket Fighter Ship is a 12-inch tin rocket ship toy made by Louis Marx and Company in 1939. The toy winds up with a key on the side. As it moves forward, it makes a boinging noise and sends out sparks from the exhaust. A figure of Flash Gordon sits in a one-person cockpit, firing a raygun. The rocket appears to be a convertible, which is unusual for a space-going vehicle.
Ming's Space Shuttle was produced by Mattel in 1979 as part of their line of action figures. The toy was a tie-in with the "Flash Gordon (1979 cartoon)" series.
