Garus is Vultan's second-in-command among the Hawk Men. In Template:105, Garus accompanies Vultan on his trip to Earth to reclaim T.J., his missing son.
In Template:112, Garus is taken captive by the Zurn as an intended sacrifice for their god. Flash Gordon and Dr. Hans Zarkov manage to rescue him before he can be killed.
