A robot is humanoid machine with an artificial intelligence. On Mongo robots exist but are unusual and seen as a very advanced technology.

The Djale race once had the knowledge to build intelligent humanoid robots wom they telepathically merged with their metabolism to be able to control two bodies at once.Their descendants had lost most of their forefathers technological skills but still controlled the ancient robots.

The inhabitants of the Elder land on the Lost Continent also had the knowledge to build huge combat robots known as "Sentries" they used to secure entry to their homeland, even after most of their race and culture had died out.The Gnomes who ruled the Elder's Capitol also used clumsy but powerful armored androids to control their realm and enslave the kangoroo-like Prole-race.Flash Gordon and his friends eventually discovered that even the human guardians of the Sentries and the young populance of the Elder's capitol in truth are human-shaped androids themselves.

Ming the Merciless himself had advanced robot technology developed by his servants at the Cathedral of Knowledge, including an advanced completely self operating mobile unit which needed no operator but could be controlled by Ming himself telepathically.
