Various peoples of Giants are among the many races of planet Mongo. The 2 main groups are huge, hairy, pointy eared people who live in the icy wastes of the polar regions. One group is more barbaric and inhabits Frigia or the icy lands close to it. These Frigian Giants are ruled by their Queen Zarah. The other group is more civilized and technologically advanced and inhabits the south polar region. They are ruled by King Naquk.
A band of Giants kidnap Dale Arden, Count Malo and Prince Ronal; Flash Gordon, and Queen Fria rescue them. The Giants leave Count Malo, frozen into a statue, as a warning to Flash and Fria. ("The Ice Kingdom of Mongo")
